University of Queensland Archaeological Services Unit - Paradise Mining Town 3D Reconstruction
The University of Queensland Archaeological Services Unit (UQASU) has been excavating the site of Paradise, located on the Burnett River in Central Queensland, Australia. This small gold mining town was occupied during the late 1800's and early 1900's. Using archaeological data provided by UQASU, I was able to model a complete 3D reconstruction of the main street and other major buildings within the township. The whole project was taken into a realtime rendering engine, so that the user could virtually walk through the township.
Below are some renders and screenshots from the Paradise project.
